The Cannondale Synapse has always been the quintessential endurance bike, and this latest iteration steps things up a gear. Completely redesigned, Cannodale has retained what makes this bike so great but brought it up to date with some impressive new features.
New aero tubing and an enhanced carbon layup make this the fastest Synapse yet, cutting through the wind with race-ready stiffness while remaining impressively lightweight and compliant, ideal for rough and rolling UK roads. With clearance for up to 35mm tyres, chunkier rubber can be fitted for a plusher ride. Hidden mudguard mounts make soggy winter (and UK summer) rides much more enjoyable, and a threaded BSA bottom bracket eliminates any unruly creaks.
The new Synapse Carbon 3 L comes complete with their SmartSense technology – integrated lights both front and rear feature ambient light sensors for automatic toggling in different lighting conditions. Internally routed, there aren’t any extra unsightly cables, maintaining the Synapse’s clean aesthetic.
No reliable roadie is complete without a Shimano 105 drivetrain. The 11-speed shifting is smooth, fast and reliable with more than enough range for steep inclines. Hydraulic disc brakes are the cherry on top, offering plenty of stopping power with easy modulation regardless of the weather.
