Tackle your local trail centre or push the boundaries on more extreme terrain further afield with the Fuel EX 9.7. Complete with a full carbon construction and fitted with suitably high-performance components, it brings the best of full-sus at some serious value.

Created with the trails in mind, Trek’s OCLV Mountain Carbon minimises weight and maximises performance without sacrificing strength and durability. The frame offers 130mm of travel at the rear courtesy of the Fox Performance Float EVOL with the addition of Trek’s 3-position RE:aktiv damper for enhanced pedal efficiency and control. Combined with Fox’s Rhythm 34 suspension fork at the front with 140mm of travel, attacking the trail features has never been more fun!

Shifting is impeccable in all conditions thanks to Shimano’s 1x12-speed XT drivetrain, with the 10-51t cassette providing plenty of range on steep inclines and fast descents. MT4100 hydraulic disc brakes are smooth modulating and powerful, perfect for pushing the limits on the downhills. Chunky 29.2.60” XR5 Team Issue tyres from Bontrager come fitted aboard their tubeless-ready rims, equally suited to loose singletrack or tightly packed trails. Trek’s Knock Block technology and downtube guard are a welcome finishing touch, keeping the frame out of harm's way in the event of a tumble.
