The Checkpoint SL 5 is Trek’s interpretation of the perfect gravel bike, and they’ve absolutely nailed it. Versatile and fun to ride, whether it’s gravel racing, all-road bikepacking or winter miles on the road, this drop-bar bike can do it all.
The SL range boasts Trek’s 500 Series OCLV Carbon construction, keeping weight to a minimum while being suitably robust, and offering excellent power transfer without compromising comfort. Trek’s innovative IsoSpeed technology soaks up lumps and bumps, offering another level of compliance on the rough stuff. Paired with clearance up to 700x45mm tyres and progressive geometry, the Checkpoint SL 5 is a seriously capable off-road machine!
Equipped with Shimano’s GRX 2x11-speed groupset, shifting is smooth, fast and reliable even on harsh terrain thanks to the clutch-equipped rear mech. GRX hydraulic disc brakes are smooth modulating and powerful in all conditions. Complete with mounting points for luggage, mudguards, racks and extra bottles and hidden downtube storage, the Trek Checkpoint SL 5 is ready for any adventure!
